Recap of Day 1: Juicing all day was easy (says the girl who owns a juice bar...hahaha)! I was actually out running errands longer than I thought so I had to grab a similar juice from our friend Jenny, at Raw Downtown. Whenever I do a ReBoot (i.e. cleanse) I always find I have more clarity. Maybe it's because I don't need to worry about what I am going to eat next.
Day 2: It's 7am and drinking my 16 oz. of straight celery juice. It's not bad at all. However, life as usual is not what we plan it to be. I was up all night with my little girl who spiked a fever and threw up. Needless to say I am waking up with one eye still closed. It's exhaustion like this that makes you are ready to throw in the towel (yes I said it already on day 2...) but I can't. Events like last night remind me why I am doing this. If I can heal myself I can heal my daughter. Fire under ass still burning...day 2.
Fact: Why straight Celery Juice? Based on info from the Medical Medium blog, he says "Just 16 oz of fresh celery juice every morning on an empty stomach can transform your health and digestion in as little as one week.". Science behind it says the cause for gut issues is due to low Hydrochloric Acid (HCL). According to Elissa Goodman: "The main reasons behind low HCL is adrenaline (stress), prescription drugs, aging, and over consumption of proteins, or high fat/high sugar foods. Celery contains unique sodium compositions, and these mineral salts are bonded with many bioactive trace minerals and nutrients.
